WHO WE ARE
For four decades, the name Industrie-Plastic Elsässer GmbH >IPE< has stood for the manufacture of products made of thermoplastics. IPE offers solutions for industry. We accompany you from the idea to production. Already in the early stages of conception and development, we are at your side with all our knowledge. We support your test phase with a perfect prototyping process. Of course, these products already have all the desired series features.
State-of-the-art tools and design services as well as an extensive park of injection moulding machines are at your disposal in production. Small, medium or large series – we can supply you with any feasible batch size.
OUR HISTORY
1968
The first injection moulding company of the Elsässer brothers was founded in 1968 in Mannheim-Rheinau. The basis for the first product line was an injection moulding machine from Krauss/Cologne, a renowned manufacturer of injection moulding machines at the time. Only injection moulded parts were produced on a contract basis.
1972
The company was transformed by the founding of Industrie-Plastic Elsässer GmbH. The company was shared by the brothers Richard, Dieter and Helmut Elsässer.
1973
The company moved to larger premises in Edingen-Neckarhausen. This enabled an expansion of the machine capacities and the establishment of the company's own tool shop.
1984
was a sad year in the company's history. The co-founder of IPE, Richard Elsässer, passed away. The two remaining shareholders continued to run the company.
1992
IPE entered the production of plastic parts for the automotive sector for the first time. As a result, the toolmaking capacities were expanded in the same year.
2001
The company moved again, back to Mannheim. Since then, the new spacious factory facility has united all of IPE's divisions under one roof.
2006
Dieter Elsässer left the company for health reasons. Helmut Elsässer took over the management of the entire company.
2010
The company IPE becomes part of the ITW Group.
